The busker's carnival updates

A picture of the tree of the special themed items (100% proceeds goes to the BMDP) @ the busker's festival and the messy working area behind...
.

The Busker's Carnival was a really happy SabbieW event!
.
A very sincere THANK YOU to all that came to visit and gave the support and most of the customers were from overseas (Darwin, Japan, US, Asia), my friends who came with drinks and food and support by buying one of the special themed bracelet ;) and the locals as well, , they were generous when they heard it's a charity event and that a percentage / 100% of the items they buy would be donated to the Bone Marrow Donation Program. Thank you for appreciating my designs and the donation!
.
A total of $180 went to the charity, and last minute a ger from Darwin bought a just finished buttons necklace making a total contribution of $194 to the BMDP! I am really happy i made it better than contributing by if i rent the stall slightly *jiggly dance... was actuall surprise at the sales as there was very little crowd (probably could have gotten more crowd if we could make some of those at the Raffles city aware)... but thank God the sales was pretty good and fast as well...of course I can't do it without all of you!
.
Also my hearfelt thanks goes to the organisers and the student voluteers who brought us goodies from free magazines, toothpaste and ice cream from the sponsors and actually prepare the table with table cloth and runners professionally. Thank God too for the weather to be cool too ...Thank you ALL!
.
See you all soon at the next MAAD (July first wkend) soon! Starting to work on the inventory again already!

MAAD 2/3 June 2007 and Ueno @ Hereen Launch

Hi All, ]

Just a quick note...
Will be at MAAD once again tml ;) 2nd and 3rd of June.

I have just launched as well at Ueno, a local designer boutique @ Hereen some of my collections, anything you see there is exclusively now to them in terms of design and colour (i.e. a different colour, similar stones used, same design may be found at online still for sale / another location).

I am currently making the pages of my new website, but as I am a one man show here, hehe and this is "part time" passion, it is taking some time, will try my best to do up a simple one to start off soon.

That's all for the updates ;)

Love SabbieW

MAAD MARKET 2007 - 3rd & 4th Feb (Sat / Sun)

Hi All,

Have you heard or ever go to the the MAAD Market?

What is MAAD?
MAAD - Market of Artist And Designer

MAAD is not your usual Flea market, where u see everything anything on sale! But it is a platform for individual or group exhibition work, workshop, art classes and
also performance space for your band, plays, fashion-show, live painting, make-up, hair
styling or whatever their creativity takes them, and mostly there are also stalls tat they sell hadnicrafted, handmade, designed their own stuff too.

MAAD provides a platform to test the commercial viability of the creative works and to promote creative entrepreneurship. Products are judged through a panel of Professional Curators before they are allowed to be in this market. So only the best are choosen!

MAAD do not sell second hand stuff, they do not allow you to buy (commercial things) and resell it like what the usual vendors does in other flea markets, where they get cheaper stuff in Bangkok and resell them to you.

At MAAD, you probably get to meet the "designers" and "talents" of the thing you are buying, seeing (works of talents live). So do come to a market of a different kind, hang out with a different crowd, Get Unique Buys! Support the local talents!
And most importantly, the reason i am writing this post is It will be my First Appearance there *dance and do a cheerleader backward roll for myself*

Lol, whatever your reasons, BE THERE and have fun!

Hopefully, you will fall in Love even MORE with SabbieW's Creations When you See It, Touch It, Feel It, Ask About It, Buy It and Finally Wear It. :)

WHERE?: @ Red Dot Design Museum (The only Building in Red there! Former Traffic Police HQ along Maxwell Road, 2 mins walk from Maxwell Market) .

Address: 28 Maxwell Road #03-05, Red Dot Building 069120

Nearest MRT: Tanjong Pagar MRT station just 3 min walks away it's diagonally opposite the URA building

When: 3rd / 4th Feb 2007, 11am - 7pm
(SabbieW stall will only be there for Sat 11am - 4.30pm only as my little princess is having her 1 year old birthday bash! and sunday is till 6.30pm)
